I went for a jog yesterday. It's been a long time, about 3 years, that I haven't run seriously. I used to run 10km for my every session every few days. I will need about 1 hours to cover 10km.
For now, just a continuous 10 minutes run has already put me to exhaustion. I have to just slow down and walk. I really need more training to recover what I have had years back. I really think I have turned weak. That's not good. I have to at least be able to run 5km continuously before exhaustion. At least half an hour. My plan is to have my running sessions at least every weekend. Better if I can make it every day, after work.

There's one article saying Caffeine will improve running performance. I find this info interesting.

BASE Jumping...

Some people might already know of this sports...some might not...
It's another varient of sky-diving...instead of jumping down from aeroplane, they jump from cliff top...
The interesting thing here is....they fall (or flew) down very very close to the cliff walls...
Very challenging...

Rhys Millen is back - Back-Flip Racing Truck at Rio, Las Vegas (2009)

Remember my post on 31st December 2007? A person, the first person ever, to attempt an air-born back flip of a truck? However, the attempt had to be canceled after he suffered from serious injuries during his practice.
I have always been waiting for his return from injury to attempt again.
and...
He's back...and it's a quick come back...in just one year (I thought he would need to take at least 1.5 or 2 years to recover since he's sustained few broken bones).
His attempt this time is on the New Year's Eve/Day of 2009.
A nice New Year Celebration event.
ok...without talking much...let's watch his attempt.



It might look not a beautiful one. Might not be a perfect landing. Or might just be an unsuccessful one. but for me, it's a successful back flip of a truck.

It’s really fast to my impression for a gear-1 to hit 105km/h. I wonder what’s the fastest record for gear-1?

Buggy Rollin the Roller Man

We have Superman, Spiderman, Ultraman, etc. Here comes another Man. He’s the RollerMan. Or also known as the Buggy Rollin Man.

His name is Jean Yves, a French man. He’s a designer, performer, showman, actor, painter, dancer, film director and film editor. He invented Buggy Rollin in 2004, a suit with wheels allows to skate in all positions. He also invented Buggy Ski in 2006, a suit with ski which allows to ski in all positions.

I posted his video previously, and now I found more links to him.

BodyBlading - Extreme Sport (video)

This is a very cool sport. This man is really creative. Installed rollers on his body and roll down the sloping highway. Amazing…!!!
It’s amazing how he maneuvers down the hill at such high speed. It should be very shocking for the motorists to have this bodyblader slides overtaking pass them. Really impressive.

Mugen RR vs Sports Modulo Type R...plus vs S2000 vs S2000 Type S vs Civic FD Type R

I must admit that I like Honda Civics. So, I here share another nice video showing the race between The Civics agains the S2000s. The result is…the Civics beat the S2000s, and the winners are the Mugens. Enjoy.

RUNAHOLIC - Nike Running Shoes

What the hell is this word, Runaholic? It’s a new word, trying to describe one which is addicted to or crazy about Running. That’s the impression I have for this word, Runaholic, when I visited Nike website.

When I select shoes, I will search for running shoes. Why? Because I love running or jogging. It’s good for health. There are few brands of my favourites, and Nike is one of them. So, I visited Nike Running to have a look at the latest list of their running shoes.

When I entered the Running Shoes section of the Nike website, it has some cool words. It reads as:

Ok…after entered the shoes selection section, it’s time for me to browse through and choose one for myself. I prefer shoes for Racing and it should be light weight, and of course, it must be beautiful (at least beautiful to my eyes).

After browsing a while, I concluded I like this, the Air Pegasus T/C the most.

Why? Because it catches my eyes. Haha…!!!

So, here goes another period of my life where I have to choose a new pair of shoes for myself. Will this Nike Air Pegasus T/C be my choice? I guess I better visit the store and have a feel of the real thing first. So far, it’s eye catching.

Civic FD Type R vs Civic Mugen RR (videos)

To those Honda Civic lovers, including me.

Here’s the video of the race between Civic FD Type R and Civic Mugen RR. Need no explanation on these two cars. You know them well. Let’s just watch the race.

As a conclusion, wathcing the videos twice, the Mugen RR is slightly faster and more stable.

Mugen RR has better specification, but dearer than the Type-R.
For the Looks wise, depends on personal tastes.

Rhys Millen's accidental off-road racing truck backflip practice session - Video

Remember my earlier post regarding Rhys Millen's accident during his back flip training with an off-road racing truck?

Well, I found this video posted in Youtube. It's the video recorded showing his attempt which caused him the pain.

Backflip an off-road racing truck

“The two Red Bull Experiments are attempts at Guinness World Records: Robbie Maddison, a freestyle motocross star, will jump the length of a football field on a motorcycle, and Rhys Millen, a top Hollywood stunt driver and
Formula Drift champion, will attempt to be the first person to ever backflip an off-road racing truck. This lineup of musical acts is sure to add to the excitement of the evening.”

This is the event organize by RedBull USA, on the New Year’s Eve, 31st December 2007.
The best part for this event is the Off-Road Racing Truck Backflip.
This means, the Off-Road Truck will be speeded into a ramp, airborne, and flip in the air 360 degrees before landing. I really can’t imagine how spectacular is the real scene. This is something out of my thought. I never thought that this can be performed.

However, we do not have the chance to witness this as planned. Rhys Millen is hospitalized after injured from his backflip practice session, on 22nd December, in Las Vegas. He was practicing at the old El Toro military base in Irvine.

“After successfully landing the 360-degree backflip three times into the cardboard boxes in training, I am disappointed that our last jump ended in an accident. As I lay here in the hospital with three broken vertebrae in my neck and two compressed and broken vertebrae in my back, I am also disappointed that we cannot perform the 360-degree backflip at the Red Bull Experiment on New Year's Eve, but I'm happy that I will be able to walk again. I look forward to watching Robbie Maddison do his 300-plus-foot motorcycle jump in Las Vegas.” Said Rhys Miller. I would like to express all my concerns to Rhys Miller. Wishing you recover as soon as possible, and with healthiest possible condition. I have been waiting to see your performance. It’s going to be a Guiness World Record. And I’ll keep on waiting for you to return and have that record printed into Guiness Book of World Records, with your name.

You are the man.

Nevertheless, the Motorcross jump, which will be performed by Robbie Maddison, will still be performed on the day. This will be a 300-plus-foot jump across a football field.
Also a support from me to you, Robbie Maddison. Jump as far and as high as u can.
