There was a time, when a Kid, was seeking fire rescue. However, a spider-man turned up and helped the kid from the situation.
Haha...ok ok...

It happened when an autistic kid attend his first day at special needs school. He cried and requested for fire rescue. He even went climbed out of the third floor window. Things seemed to tensed up now.
Firemen did turned up. One of the firemen, Somchai Yoosabai, had been told by the kid's mother that the kid loved Spider-man. Somehow, Somchai happened to have his Spider-Man costume available at the moment. (It was used for to entertain students during fire drill at other school).
He then quickly rushed to get himself dressed up, and appeared infront of the kid as a Superhero, Spider-Man...!!!
Without much effort, the kid just rushed into Spider-Man's arms...
The kid was seen so cheerful and happy to be saved by his superhero, Spiderman...

First Rolls-Royce delivered to Thailand
This is interesting news.
I never knew that Rolls-Royce has never delivered its prestigious automotive craft into Thailand before.
So now, it appears that the first person in Thailand to own a Rolls-Royce is Dr. Nikorn Hongsrisook.
The model he ordered is the Phantom Extended Wheelbase.

Mobile Navigation Phone - Nuvifone
I believe many people do know Garmin. It's a well known brand for GPS (Global Positioning System) Navigation Devices.
Its navigation devices include those for cars, motorcycles, bicycles, etc.
It also produces GPS navigation software for Mobile phones with GPS navigation capability.
It also has GPS dongle and software to turn a laptop into a GPS navigator.
Even for water and air navigation.
Recently, it has come up with a new product, which I believe is really an attraction.
It’s the Nuvifone.

PC with Wii-style controller
Alright, the Nintendo Wii is a hit at the moment, with its games being controlled by players’ movements. It creates another way of exercise.
Now, Lenovo has announced the first ever computer with motion-based controller.
The controller is said to be similar to the Wii controller, which will transfer user’s movements into signals to control programs on the computer. It can either be used to control movement-based games, or being used as an in-the-air mouse.
If a mouse can be used in the air, it eliminates the need of a surface, such as the mouse pad, to move mouse cursors. This is really great. Nevertheless, it’s said to be wireless. Then it can be controlled at a distance, which makes one able to lie on bed and control his/her computer from comfort. Don’t forget the point here is “no surface is needed” for the mouse. Well, wireless keyboard completes the comfort of PC controls.
Computers nowadays are made to cater for multimedia usage, and being easier to use.

Rhys Millen is back - Back-Flip Racing Truck at Rio, Las Vegas (2009)

You rock...
Remember my post on 31st December 2007? A person, the first person ever, to attempt an air-born back flip of a truck? However, the attempt had to be canceled after he suffered from serious injuries during his practice.
I have always been waiting for his return from injury to attempt again.
and...
He's back...and it's a quick come back...in just one year (I thought he would need to take at least 1.5 or 2 years to recover since he's sustained few broken bones).
His attempt this time is on the New Year's Eve/Day of 2009.
A nice New Year Celebration event.
ok...without talking much...let's watch his attempt.
It might look not a beautiful one. Might not be a perfect landing. Or might just be an unsuccessful one. but for me, it's a successful back flip of a truck.

Cooking Gas Cylinder used as NGV tank caused death
Nowadays, many are going for alternative fuels. The most advertised these days can be seen to be the NGV.
Last Friday, it’s been reported a trader has died after his NGV-powered van exploded, during refueling. The van is found to have a Cooking Gas Cylinder installed in place of a proper NGV storage tank. The driver died instantly, while his brother and his friend who were in the van sustained serious injuries and is now hospitalized.

My comment here would be the NGV system conversion that he has on his van. He converted a cooking gas cylinder to be used as NGV storage tank in the van. The cylinder head has been converted to be used with the NGV system. It’s quite creative, but is it safe? There’s always a standard for safety for any conversion. Moreover, he left his engine running (engine combustion is actively igniting and burning) while refueling. This is a very WRONG practice. We all know that Gas Burns.
So, please be more careful when making any conversion to your fuel supply system in your car. It’s fatal if wrong concepts are applied. And please shut down your engines while refueling. The explosion, if occurred at petrol station, is not just you being affected. Everyone at the petrol station, and maybe around it, may also be affected by the explosion. The “affect” I’m talking about is “Death”.

Killed in Ritual
I think this news is a bit scary.
A middle aged couple were killed in “ritual”.
They were having a party (Hari Raya celebration), and the discussion went that the husband (47 years old) seeking helps to make him stop smoking, and his wife (41 years old) were also having asthma and liver ailment. One of their relatives, a 23-year-old male suggested family join forces to beat the husband and wife to death to rid them from their ailments. And the tragedy really happened.
It could be either a mutual agreed situation or a one sided action.
Their heads were smashed on a table, and beaten with broomsticks and motorcycle helmets at his house in Kuala Lumpur.
Ambulance was called within hours, but the couple couldn’t live after the beaten up. Several other family members were also injured.

Buck Converter - Power Electronics Design
Today, I searched for information on Buck-Based Converter. It’s a power electronics design where input voltage is stepped down to a lower voltage to supply to a targeted operational circuit. It’s also known as Switch Mode Regulator or Step-Down Switch Mode Power Supply. This design is good and can be an alternative to Linear Power Supply/Regulator. Switch-Mode configuration is also seen to be more efficient in driving higher power applications.

It discusses in almost all aspects of the design of Power Supply, from a single diode rectification to buck or boost switch-mode designs, with proper illustration diagrams. I find it quite pleasant, as many discussions are pointed out with graphs and simple circuit diagrams.
