I believe there are still many people who don't really know how turbocharger functions.
This video shows a short animation of how air flows through turbocharger.
Its function is to increase air flow into the engine relying on exhaust gas flow. It also increases air pressure into the combustion chamber. That's why we sometimes hear the word "boost" when talking about turbocharge system.
Hope this video helps to understand turbocharger better.

DIY experience - Replacement of Sparks Plugs and Air Filter
Due to irritating workshop postponed for so many times, I decided to do it myself.
The repairman promised to buy me new sparks plugs and air filter for replacement in my car, but already 3 weeks he couldn't deliver. His excuse was always being busy with other stuffs.
Today, I went out to search for Bosch Super 4 and the air filter for my Proton Iswara 1.3. It's a 4G13P engine; it's an old carburator engine. I went round starting from nearest accessories shops nearby my house. 1st shop, doesn't have. 2nd shop, no. Next still doesn't have. And I have visited all shops nearby my house. I then had to drive a little bit further. I remember I saw some workshops there. I went round and round a while because i couldn't locate one. Then luckily I managed to find one. Asked the shop for the Bosch Super 4, they had. Then asked for Air Filter specific for my car, and they had. That's great. I bought them for RM55 in total. Not bad.
In the evening, prepared tools. Popped up the bonet. Started my work to replace the spark plugs and air filters. The old spark plugs are so horribly burnt. I imagined that they are not giving enough ignition for combustion at all. Their tips are fully covered with carbon and blunt. They are terrible. Well, it's because i haven't changed it for few years. I guess about 2 to 3 years. I can't remember. So, I spent about 1 hour to replace them. Secured back all nuts and make sure everything is back to its supposed locations, and being functional. I started the engine. I had to step on the gas a bit to crank it. This had been happening before the replacement. Well, the engine now runs smoother after its cranked successfully.
Alright...I have got my engine healthier, at least not as jerky as before.
If I were to wait for the repairman to arrange for me, I guess I might have to wait for another month for the workshop to buy me the stuffs. It's just an easy job. Why don't just do it myself? In fact, I gained myself an experience, in which I can use for some unknown future purposes. This is my first time replacing sparks plugs. I am a little bit proud of myself for able to replace sparks plugs by myself. Not many of my friends I know will do it themselves.

nuvifone - Launched...
At last it's launched...released...selling...available...!!!
I have been keeping an eye on the Garmin-Asus nuvifone, and it's now available in the market in two models.
- G60 @ RM1799
- M20 @ RM2099
The price is way cheaper than I have expected.
I have heard somebody is already using the G60 here, and it seems to be a great phone.
The G60 is a full touch screen, similar to i-Phone. It operates on Linux. To me, the operating system is similar to the Samsung Omnia.
The M20 is similar to smart phone, or PDA, which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1.
Both models come with solid Garmin navigation system packaged in it.
They also have 3 Mega Pixels digital camera with Auto Focus.
So, it depends on customer's requirements and style to select one of the two models.
The point of getting the nuvifone would be its Navigation system which is known to be one of the best, and well accepted by customers throughout the world.

Runner's Website
I went for a jog yesterday. It's been a long time, about 3 years, that I haven't run seriously. I used to run 10km for my every session every few days. I will need about 1 hours to cover 10km.
For now, just a continuous 10 minutes run has already put me to exhaustion. I have to just slow down and walk. I really need more training to recover what I have had years back. I really think I have turned weak. That's not good. I have to at least be able to run 5km continuously before exhaustion. At least half an hour. My plan is to have my running sessions at least every weekend. Better if I can make it every day, after work.
I was searching for a website to guide runners to increase performance, and I came across this webpage today: http://www.runnersworld.com/channel/0,,s6-238-0-0-0,00.html
This page provides articles related to running. Quite interesting.
There's one article saying Caffeine will improve running performance. I find this info interesting.
Go ahead and browse through it.

Dog Born with Heart
Is this for real?
It's a dog borned recently with a heart shape on its body. (refer to photos)
I wonder how could it happen? and why just this dog...?
It's said to be in Japan. It's born in May.
Shop owner Emiko Sakurada said it was the first time a puppy with the marks had been born out of a thousand she had bred. She had no plans to sell the puppy, which has been named "Heart-kun".

Michael Jackson has passed away
:(
It's really an early morning shocking news for me.
I cried "WHAT...!!!" so loud until my mother surprised what had happened.
I was shocked when i turned on my TV and heard the news of the gone of the legendary pop star. It's really an unbelievable news. However, it's real. I/we just have to accept the fact.
He's the pop star. The history of pop star. The record of no one can match. The only Michael Jackson that no one would not know.
Rest in peace, Michael.

Differences create differences...
"Different people have different concerns....that's why different people grows up differently...."
I was chatting with a friend, and the topic brought my friend to mention different people have different concerns. It's about his opinion and mine. It's kind of an unopened minded to me, and I thought about the differences in people's lives which created different achievements. That made me added extra words to form above phrase.
Opinion and interest are very important. Everyone has them. There will be majority and minority of these two. The majority will be the pushing force for the results. The results came from the majority opinion and interest. Therefore, a nation, being developed or not, or until whatever extend, to whichever direction, can tell how residence characteristics are. Example can be seen from the taste of the cars. Different countries have different preferences of owning cars. Try to observe and see.

Altitude vs Engine Power
Do you know that your car will have a reduction in horse power when climbing hill?
I believe not many people know about this fact.
the fact is that when you climb to a higher altitude, the lower the air pressure.
Engine combustion chamber needs some external air pressure to push air into the chamber.
At higher altitude, less air enters engine combustion chamber, and system inject less fuel into the chamber to maintain air-fuel ratio.
This in return gives less powerfull combustion, hence, less power.
If a car at Sea level can churn out 300 horse power, it can have its power reduced to 200 horse power at higher altitude. About 30% reduction in power.
This is interesting.
This Video illustrates the theory:

It's another varient of sky-diving...instead of jumping down from aeroplane, they jump from cliff top...
The interesting thing here is....they fall (or flew) down very very close to the cliff walls...
Very challenging...

Quote of the day
Today, I bought my lunch from Panda Express, and there's a snack with a piece of paper written with some phrases.
The phrase I got for today is:
"Look forwards the future, but not so far as to miss today."
I find it very meaningful.
